William F. Reilly

William F. Reilly was born in New York January 8,1899 to Matthew and Mary Am Kiernen Reilly. In Rye his family lived at 19 School Street and were parishioners of the Church of the Resurrection. William married Lillian Rowe and they had one daughter, Lorraine, in 1928.

At the age 42, he enlisted in U.S. Army to serve during World War II.

William was a veteran of World War ll as a Technician fifth grade in the European Theater. He served with the 3266th Ordinance Base Depot Company.

The broad mission of the Ordnance Corps is to supply Army combat units with weapons and ammunition, including at times their procurement and maintenance. Along with the Quartermaster Corps and Transportation Corps, it forms a critical component of the U.S. Army logistics system.

After the war, William was an automobile salesman and was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Church.

William F Reilly sixty-one of 36 Broad St Port Chester died June 10, 1960 at United Hospital.

At the time of his death, survivors included a daughter Mrs. Edward Roth and a sister Mrs James McEvoy both of Port Chester and brother John T Reilly of Armonk, two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
